Stuart: Oh, yes! More Ast\u00e9rix, for the final time. Hopefully three episodes\u2019 worth of chatsterix doesn\u2019t seem indulgent as much as it does thorough, because\u2014let\u2019s face it\u2014who else is going to do these games justice?

As I said in the previous Ast\u00e9rix write-up, I didn\u2019t anticipate the initial Ast\u00e9rix Retronauts would turn into a trilogy, but the depth of knowledge from the guests (not to mention the surplus of games) made it more than a little necessary. I love getting into the weeds of unexplored series\u2019 like this and I hope you all like it too! I do not intend to stop covering stuff that doesn\u2019t fit the general template of the retrogaming canon of classics. And if that sounds a little snobbish then I guess I\u2019m a big bleedin\u2019 snob. So there, nyer, and belm.

With Ast\u00e9rix still getting new volumes, there\u2019ll be new games\u2014there already have been new games since we recorded these episodes\u2014so perhaps you\u2019ll see a fourth Ast\u00e9rix episode in 10 years\u2019 time. Unless I\u2019ve been fired for doing too many Ast\u00e9rix episodes, which is certainly not out of the question.
