Jeremy: Way back, long ago, in episode 693 (OK, so it was like a year ago), we tackled the history of Capcom's vertical shooters. And it was good. However, it was also meant to kick off a series of Capcom-focused overviews by genre, which hasn't happened yet. What can I say. Life gets away from you, and there are so many other topics for us to tackle. But here we are, circling back.

This was meant to be a single overview of Capcom's platformers, but as is our wont, we accidentally only got halfway through the prepped material. You know what that means... but don't worry. Stuart Gipp, Patrick Kulikowski, and I will absolutely circle back in less than a year from now to continue the Capcom saga.

This was also meant to be episode 777 of the show, but some technical issues came up that forced me to push this episode ahead in the schedule. This is precisely why I never talk about episode numbers during an episode. Anyway, just carry forward all of that talk with you and pretend I saved it up for the actual 777.
