I became a Turok-liker rather late in the day, around the release of the Nightdive remaster, amidst the much-deserved renaissance of its kind of shooter, formerly a DOOM Clone, now Boomer Shooter. That’s a genre label that makes no sense but I still like it, so we’re keeping it.

Honestly, I’m not sure what to say here. It’s an episode of Retronauts about Turok: Dinosaur Hunter, focusing almost entirely on the first game. I wasn’t sure that just the original could sustain a full episode but with this group of guests it quickly became clear I was worrying about nothing. Delighted to finally get Andi Hamilton on the podcast as well, as he’s excellent at this business and should be heard more. I will be getting him back on soon to talk about Goemon, if plans come together, so please look forward to that. Additionally, the return of the excellent John Linneman and our very own good ol’ Diamond Feit bolster the chat as you’d expect, both of whom will also be returning soon. Hopefully. Well, Diamond certainly will, anyway. Obviously. It would be weird if this were Diamond Feit’s final Retronauts.

I’m not sure if we’ll do the Turok sequels, is that something you lot would be interested in? Gosh, there are so many episodes to do and so little time! In fact, little time is why I’m writing this in a hurry. I forgot to, and I’ve got to be out of the door to go on holiday in about 23 minutes. Oo-er! Squeaky bum time! You know, they always say “squeaky bum time” about stuff like this, but I’ve never really looked into why that is, or what it means. I will do so now, live, and then come back here to explain. Just a second.

Ah, it’s a football thing. I don’t care, then. Anyway, I’m off on me hols – bye, Nauties!
